This 10-day romp in the southernmost city in the continental United States begins with an outrageous party and gets progressively more wild as Halloween approaches. The event draws national and international mask-makers and costume designers, plus thousands of celebrants who flock to Fantasy Fest's many outrageous events.
Elaborate costume competitions are at the heart of Fantasy Fest, but you'll find a fantastic array of theme parties, masked balls, and street fairs. During the day, mischievous merrymakers run through the city, but at night the streets are reserved for the truly bizarre. The Fantasy Fest Parade is the highlight of the festival; it makes its way down historic Duval Street amid 60,000 costumed revelers.•
